For Your Life

No time for goodbyes.
Don’t matter like you think they do anyway.
Don't put your life in someone's hands,
Eventually they’ll take it away.
Don't trust a pretty girl,
'Cause she’ll drain you,
Burn you,
Then she’ll say:

“If you want to get out alive,
Then run.
Run for your life.
And even though I’ll let you survive,
I’ll be with you for the rest of your life.”

This is the last time
I say, as I throw it away.
Its hard for you to see,
But one day you'll end up like me;
Worn and thin.
Then she said:

If you want to get out alive,
Then run.
Run for your life.
And if a helping hand should arrive,
No.
Run for your life.
If you want to get out alive,
Then guard your life.
If you want to get out alive,
Don’t let them inside.”

If I stay, it won't be long.
Shouldn’t have convinced my self to ever try.
When I go, I can only hope
That it’s better on the other side.

Don’t think I want to get out alive.
Never good at taking advice.
The only way I’d want to survive
Is if she was there to help me role the dice.

If I stay, it won’t take long
For my one request to be denied.
When I go, I can only hope
That I’ll get back everything that’s died.
And when you go, remember me,
And remember what you taught me:

If you want to get out alive,
Then run.
Run for your life.”
