Some Things Are Better Left

-

Don’t go away.

Tearless eyes pour out sentiments
Quivering lips bitten by salty teeth
Flushed skin bruised red by warmth
And words that lie still underneath

Don’t think otherwise.

No matter how hard the try may be
The pieces of this riddle without a question
Will never meet below the sunlit night
And hold in their unvoiced confession

Don’t tell untruths

Mouths that speak without souls
Cannot live without ears of piety
Or sinking eyes in the starscape pools
Forming such a rancorous society

Don’t stop wishing

The world is beaten only in faith
The true belief of love and splendor
And beautiful dreams of such tangibility
That hands grasp for wisps so tender

Don’t be afraid

Of wishless reveries in delirium
For they can only help the lost
In their hushed declaration in shadows
Until their soulless tongues exhaust

No matter we plea
It may just be

That the answer always was
Just because
