Promise Me Forever

Days like these are the solar flare of a lifetime.
A flash of unbridled beauty, no two ever the same.
Once in a lifetime.

It’s a time where you’re so curious that you ponder a thousand questions,
But only care to ask a single one;
How could I be so blessed?

Family gather, friends appear, and spirits flow.
Nothing is so personal, and nothing is so shared.

Men boast in black and the ladies the purest of whites.
Balance.

No time for regrets, only for hopes and dreams.
Cinderella could not do better.

Hundreds of people, but you see only one.
It moves lazily, slow motion like a dream, all a blur.
The clearest decision you’ve ever made, it passes as you blink.

I now pronounce you husband and wife.
You may kiss the bride.
