The places that we used to walk

Remind me of the voices

I heard calling me around the corner

Waiting for the traffic light.

In my dreams I’m lightning

Starring in a blue and black specked sky

A thousand miles hovering

Across the universe.

You’ll wear your hair down

Long and black and stars will dance

Inside your head a million miles away

From all the troubles clouding up

Your pretty, perfect thoughts.

I could fly away from here

My heart’s already packed.

I could move away, my love,

With you there’d be no turning back.

If you’d just give me your name,

A time or plan, a gift.

We could go away;

We could disappear.
