This attraction drips hideously through wire-screened sieves;
We, unable to pick and choose,
Swallow everything gratefully.
There is little difference between gold and waste;
Blind eyes see nothing;
Only the taste comes through.

I wonder, if I added blue chemicals
Would we swallow the world?
Caught up in life and its glorious attractions,
We would fail to notice
We swallow, we eat three-course meals at a table set for slugs.
