Chocolate Covered Roaches

If I were a candy I'd be twix sweet all around and good in the mix.

Snacking and feasting I taste so good I'm the most popular in my neighborhood.

Until that one day a snicker came round stealing the attention of everyone in town.

Even I was taken he looked so sweet is it possible that I've been beat?

His name was Tom the chocolate delight filled with nuts and sugary spite.

His smile wide his face flaunt a shining smile a savory taunt.

Something disturbed me in the back of my mind he was very attractive a very good find.

Praise to the one who found him theirs and give them a wedding and a tree filled with pears.

I decided one morning I'd greet him and meet him to welcome him in and see how to beat him.

I waved and said "Hi"
that good morn he turned his head as if to scorn

My mouth drew wide as he passed me by smiling at a neighbor his act was a lie!

The next day he left town leaving us breathless without a sound.

Only just yesterday,
on his face I wrote "Do not believe me for I am a joke."

I laughed when he coward and slunk away leaving the town in peace and play.

Don't think me mean for my deeds I just don't like a candy in greed.

Stealing the people that I love the most taking them away I believe he's a roach.
