Curiosity

It’s funny how different

we are from one another,

but yet not so very different

when we’re both under the covers,

when we’re standing side by side.

We creep we crawl we run,

we swim we leap we hide.

With each breath blooms another day.

And time for laughing, crying, smiling,

stressing, dressing, trusting.

Separate, we’re alone,

stranded without a friend.

Together, we’re whole again,

a day spend hand in hand.

So why not spend the day,

floating downstream on a raft built for two?
