To tell you the truth wouldn’t be that hard,

If I could only look you in the eyes.

Well here’s the truth:

You sit next to me in one of my classes,

and when I’m lonely, I think of you.

I wish you were next to me, making me laugh.

I wish that you’d talk to me in class.

That you’d look at me and wink,

Like we shared a special joke.

I wish that when I’m down, just when I need a lift,

that you were there, arms around me.

Yes, thinking of us makes me feel good.

So yeah, although we hardly talk in class,

and the most I get is help on a worksheet,
