"Can I take your order?" I said, bored out of my mind. I was leaning against my hand, my long light brown hair in a pony tail right above the little McDonalds cap I was forced to wear, every work day.
And why was I standing here, in the hot, weird smelling McDonald's restaurant, taking peoples orders from the drive thru?
Well- thing is, about a month ago, I was forced to leave my loving New York City, to the small business town of Morristown New Jersey.
And not only was forced away from my lifelong friends, I was forced to get a job. Tomorrow is the first day of school in this town.
Whoppety Freakidy Doo.
I rolled my eyes when I heard someone in a girly voice giggle, "Um, like, Hi! 2 low fat milks, uh... No Jennifer, it's going to get you fat- and 2 chicken caesar salads!"
"Alrighty then, please come around so you can pay." I said in the same bored tone I used before. I heard car wheels coming up and turned my head to the drive thru window and watched the shiny black truck pull up, with a black haired girl in the drivers seat. She pulled down her designer glasses at seeing me, and her blond haired friend giggled. I resisted rolling my eyes (again) and gave them a smile when I said, "7.89, please." The driver reached for her coach bag, opened it up and went through her wallet. She seemed to be struggling to count the bills- ha ha I know!- and when she handed me the cash I handed her a receipt and her change.
"Have a nice day!" I called while she drove away, I could have swore her said, "Did you see her outfit?"
Seriously. What else did you expect me to wear at McDonald's where EVERYONE is in bright red uniform?
Even Ronald the clown is in uniform! (You see kids, when you don't go to college, your stuck wearing a hot, sweaty clown suit and forced to wear melting makeup on your face which BURNS!)
Now an event that day changed my life that day.
The day I met him.
Tyler Keenan.
That name has evil tingle to it, doesnt it?
I waited, still bored, waiting for the next customer- when someone roared in my ear through the head phone-
"HIIIIIII!" They yelled, I almost had a heart attack and started to question my hearing ablities in my left ear.
"Uh- Hi?" I said uncertainly, removing my headset from my ear, in case of further ear damage. I heard deep chuckles from the other side, and it added the flame to my fury.
"I WANT 3 BIG MACS, 3 PEPSI'S-"
"Woah wait- Can you please lower your voice-?"
"UHHHH NO IT'S THE BIG MAC MEAL RIGHT? SO-"
"SIR, Lower your voice." I hissed, my fist clenching. The chuckles grew louder.
"CAN WE GET A KIDS MEAL WITH CHICKEN NUGGETS-" It was so obvious he was yelling for kicks, because he started chuckling with the crowd he was with.
"...If you don't stop yelling right now-"
"AND A SMALL COKE-" I threw my headset off and twisted my cap to the side and pushed my way out of the drive through window.
Yeah. I have major skills, yo homie G.
I stomped my way over to the black BMW, and with a closer look, I stopped in my tracks.
The three most handsomest guys I've ever seen, laughing their asses of.
No seriously- I think I saw one of these guys as an Abercrombie Model, and the other guys just as well.
Then my anger awoke my daydream, I continued to make my short way over- and them, still not noticing me, and just to get them to look-
I kicked his car.
Mwhahaha I know, one of men's greatest weakness's- Their car.
They all stopped laughing automatically, -insert evil laughter- and gaped.
The driver turned slowly to see me, and blinked.
I stood there, looking furious.
"Unless you have some mental disease, which you probably do have, by yelling at a drive thru intercom for amusement, I suggest you stop yelling." I snarled, wiping an annoying strand of hair out of my eyes, "Got it?"
The two other guys nodded, but the black haired cutie (I'm not going to deny it, he's a hunk!), just smirked, and honked his car horn.
You would look into my brown eyes and find the pits of hell.
"Please repeat what you want in a normal tone." I sneered and swung around and walked toward the drive thru window, and climbed into it once more. I sighed and put the headset back on and repeated my droned response, "Can I take your order?"
"That depends-" A deep voice responded, "Can I take you also?" I gaped and regained composure, and rolled my eyes.
"At least your not making me deaf, just what do you want to eat?"
"Like I said before, 3 big mack things, and 3 Pepsi's. That's it." He chuckled. She filed in the order and out came the receipt. "Alright, drive over to pay and get your food." and sure enough, they came around.
The only thing I thought when I saw him was, Holy Damn!
Okay here's a fact about the girls in my family. Any guy-any guy, even they annoying the living crap out of you, with black hair that just about covered his eyes, and piercing blue eyes, and a chiseled TAN jaw, is a major turn on.
Ugh. Too bad I already made the decision to hate the guy.
"Gimme your damn money so we can get on with our lives." I snarled, regaining my sense. The other guys laughed while the black haired looked at bit shocked but handed a twenty anyway. I smiled coldly and gave him his change.
"Aren't you supposed to say 'have a good day'?" He inquired, his voice deeper than it seemed through the head set. I rolled my eyes for the millionth time that day.
"I feel more comfortable to go say, 'Eat a Dick.' buh bye." I waved my hand away, he gaped but drove off, his friends laughing at him.
Now at the end of shift, I yawned and took of my head set, and walked out of the booth, and screamed, "I'M FREE!"
Every ones looking at me like they've seen a naked Micheal Jackson.
Hm. Whatever. I smiled and walked out of McDonald's, knowing tommorow will probably be hell.
