loneliness is easier

so much easier

"no one likes to be alone"

yet for some reason I cherish

the serenity of solitude

and just being so completely

alone.

it doesn't bother me to sit still

and do absolutely nothing

drowning out every little distraction

like the air conditioner's buzz

or the flies buzz

it just feels so much better

alone.

it is better not worrying

am I going to hurt someone today?

is someone going to hurt me today?

and then the petty fights and arguments

conflicts and drama that could be avoided

by being alone,

listening to the wind

and watching the trees

alone.

it's my prescription

my aspirin

my time alone with God.

completely alone-

yeah, its better that way.
