Dwindling Purity

The warm deep waters calm the storm

The grey chaotic clouds retreat to nothing

The whirlwind in my mind cease to spin

Childhood memories shine through the hurricane

A temporary escape from an ever changing world

If only these waters could wash its scent from me

If only these waters could take me back in time

Restore the innocence the world stripped from me

If I could I’d wade in these waters for eternity.
