“Let’s go,” Cassandra ordered and Hope was suddenly beside him and leading him out of the house.

The door had shifted while they were inside and now faced into the deciduous forest.

Static was still crackling behind his eyes, choking emotion out of the dark haired teen.

“Great,” Hope muttered, “Now we have to find the break al over again.”
“Hi Hopey, hi Olympia.” Cassandra and Hope froze.

“Why did you bring him here?” Cassandra called.

“Because he loves you,” Aphrodite called, swooping into view on a pair of white-pink angel wings. Eric blushed. Cassandra shifted uncomfortably as the pink haired girl landed silently.

“Aww, Cassy-chan, can you not believe someone other than us loves you?” Aphrodite taunted. Cassandra spluttered something incomprehensible.

“I- I, but – no, that’s-that’s nt it!” she protested. Aphrodite lowered into a cat crouch and tilted her head.

“Cassy-chan, you were built to be beautiful,” she continued.

“I wasn’t built!” Cassandra yelled. A curved dagger shifted with a heat ripple into her hand.

“Yeah you were,” Aphrodite replied and put a hand on her collarbone. “I wasn’t there, but I’ve stolen memories from the people who built you and were there.”
“I wasn’t built!” Cassandra shouted.

“Then how are you alive? You weren’t born if that’s what you’re thinking,” Aphrodite replied. Eric glanced around and noticed they were surrounded by the group of non-humans from before. Dimitri and Amarid were both alive, as if nothing had happen.

“I’m just here. I wasn’t born, and I definitely wasn’t built. Those memories are from someone built after me,” Cassandra snapped.

“But little dragon-,” Aphrodite smirked as Cassandra screamed in pain and fell to her knees, “Oh Hopey, stop getting rid of us.” Hope blushed.

“It wasn’t me!” I’m just here! I’m not a lab rat!” Cassandra screamed, “It wasn’t me in the memories! It was her!” Aphrodite stood up and crossed her arms. She tapped a pale finger against her chile while pacing in front of Cassandra.

“Well, I guess you’re smart enough to know you’re not the only you out there,” she continued, “But Cassandra the mermaid, dragon, and even shapeshifter, you aren’t human. You were built to get insdie information and you’re the most perfect out of two little baby silvernettes.” Cassandra screamed again and clutched her stomach as two black wings, feathered and dragon-shaped, extended out of her back.

“Stop it!” Hope yelled.

“No,” Aphrodite snapped, “Anyway, she has to eat someone so really I’m just helping.”
“I’m not one of you,” Cassandra growled.

“Oh but honey, you are,” Aphrodite knelt down and pulled Cassandra to her feet by the front of her shirt, “Have you ever wondered why your heart never speeds up?” A trickle of blood dripped out of Cassandra’s mouth.

“No and I don’t care,” she snarled.

“I’ll show you,” Aphrodite replied brightly and stabbed Cassandra with her hand. The silvernette let out a shocked gasp and slumped, her head falling backwards.

“Cassy wake up,” Athena commanded. Cassandra slowly drew her head up.

“What?” she croaked. Another arm came out of Aphrodite’s left side and reached into Cassandra’s arm. It pulled a hair thin wire out, hardly visible in the semi darkness of the forest. Cassandra stared at the bloodless titanium with horror.

“Now move your arm,” Aphrodite commanded.

“She won’t be able to,” Pele smirked. It was immediately wiped off as Cassandra lifted her arm and started making the limb pinwheel.

“Oh right. Opps.” Aphrodite laughed, a high twittering wound, “You’re teletenetic,” Another arm folded out of her right side and smacked Cassandra’s forehead.

“Now move your arm,” she ordered. A moment went by with no one breathing.

“I- can’t,” Cassandra whispered.

“Zactly. Here’s your-,”

“We have to go back,” a grey haired man called.

“Oh well,” Aphrodite replied and dropped Cassandra like a broken toy, “I guess there’s no lee way huh?” The man shook his head.

They vanished.

All vanished.
