It was on that fateful November day at the supermarket that Carissa and Allison met, that the two discovered they were the long lost daughters of an Egyptian king who had a terrible memory. Their father, King Leonidas XILLLLCCCCCVIIVV the fifth, was dropped on his head as a child and thus, was cursed with a horrible memory. The only true reason he was king was because he contained royal blood, and the people had yet to start a riot against him, though they were most definitely planning it. When the two girls finally came into contact with their long lost father, they decided to stay and try to help him. Using some of their newly acquired money, they flew their families to Egypt and lived in King L’s palace. Eventually, the oldest of the two, Carissa, whose people skills were excellent, decided that the two should work in harmony with each other to rule Egypt.
Carissa and Allison spent much of their time together, getting to know one another and learning about each others family lives. Allison learned that Carissa’s dad had finally walked out on her, her mother, and her brother, only after he found a rich woman who gave him a certain degree of attention he could no longer receive at his own home because of his frequent absences. Carissa learned that over the past three years Allison has been acting as the mother for her other four brothers and sisters. Her eldest brother, who was eighteen, has acted as the father of the other children. The two took care of their brothers and sisters ever since their parents car crash in which both died instantaneously. Allison and Noah, her brother, taught their brothers and sisters how to act and they became a paradigm to their siblings.
As the girls and their siblings grew closer, Carissa’s mother began to act more like her old self again. She became the mother of the clan, proud of all the children she was helping to raise. It used to be that a smile was rare on Lynna’s soft face, her beautiful smile used to be hidden behind a façade of sorrow and depression, but now that she was back where she felt she belonged, she was happy again. Noah, Allison’s brother could now afford to go to medical school to become a doctor, just like he always dreamed of doing, and Jaycee, Allison’s littlest sister, had her birthday wish come true, she finally received her very own pony whom she could go outside and ride on for however long she wanted, just so long as she finished her schoolwork first. Tom, Carissa’s older brother had dreamt of becoming a famous musician since he was ten years old, and now, he could finally afford to buy a guitar. Carissa, even though she never showed it, had always wanted to be the drummer in Tom’s band, and even though she figured he would say no, she bought the drum set anyways and asked if she could join with her brother. Surprisingly, he said yes, and they got to work looking for a singer, a bass guitarist and a keyboardist too.
One day, many years later, after Tom, Carissa, Jaycee, and Noah’s dreams had all been fulfilled, it was discovered that Lynna, Carissa’s mother, was diagnosed with a terminal disease. Not long after, she died, in her sleep, and not a week after, King Leo died as well, due to a long fall down a short flight of stairs. It was debated who would become ruler, but eventually it was decided that both girls would be a ruler of a section of the kingdom. Carissa would rule the North half of Egypt, and Allison would rule the south half, but they would both live in the same castle so as not to be separated from each other. One day, a mysterious stranger snaked their way into the castle, and destroyed an ancient castle heirloom leaving a message on one of the inner castle walls saying, “Down with Carrie-doll”
