When we talk it’s like
A black-and-white movie scene
It all means something

This bliss must be a
Dream or cruel trick because I
Never deserved you

Like a lock and key
We fit together and we
Will never let go

In your pretty eyes
I see idealism bent
But never broken

Just twisted beyond
Recognition or rescue
A new kind of pain

Although you scare me
You inspire me as well
For my faith has fled

I can’t bear to see
You collapse inwards with pain
The weight of the past

I try to hold you
Just to keep your head afloat
But I am drowning

Screams inside my head
Grip me, make me hate you
Can’t keep doing this

We all die someday
Thank god for cherry blossoms
To give that meaning

They are so fragile
The rain strikes them and grinds their
Whiteness into mud

They are all the more
Sweet for their evanescence
Beautiful and damned
