Hey. This poem was written as a journal entry that had to use the lines "the afternoon fog hides" and "then the sun comes out and burns off the fog". I obviously changed the cheesy bit of the last line for this copy, and I rather liked the way it turned out. Enjoy. 3

The Afternoon Fog

The afternoon fog

Hides a day’s ambitions

A week’s troubles

A month’s horrors

The afternoon fog

Obscures the heartaches of the past

And the dreams of the future

The afternoon fog

Covers the heart’s desires

And the longings of the flesh

But then the sun comes out

And reveals

Life.
