Step by lonely step

I curse the day we met

And how you made me feel

While you moved in for the kill

Shame flows through me

For the weakness I let free

As you made me feel

So alive and real

As your arms hold me

I felt so safe and free

Letting me feel things

I only thought a dream brings

Blinded with my love

I let you slowly destroy

My protective bearer

Layer by layer

But then you were gone

Taking all I had along

Leaving me in trance

Cursing the day I gave love a chance
