Many years have come to past

And still the pain has last

For my memories are triggered

By something so simple and small

Leaving me where I can almost hear your call

But even though i can't have you

Through your granddaughter you shine through

I see your face in her eyes

Hear your laughter in her cries

You've missed something so precious and sweet

Its kills me inside that you couldn't meet

But she has your smile

Which holds my pain at bay for a while

For she shines the way

To a brighter day

Making everything easier to bare

Even you not being here

To hold and cherish

something so sweet and precious

But i know we'll meet again
