Fly Away

I wish I had wings

So I could fly away

Away from the trouble

And the pain it brings

Where I could be free

From the words spoken in vain

The heart retching pain

And the terrible hearache

It brings in its wake

I want to fly with the birds

And feel that feeling

You can't explain with words

I want to get that adrenline rush

When you do something that's forbidden

I want to see my face flush

With excitement

And not have anything to regret

So if I had wings

I would fly away

Having time set for the day

Doing the thing I love

Hoping this treasure won't end with a shove
