Heroin

Needle drawn back, push it in,

deep breath, lay back,

see the sky, pretty sky,

fuschia sky.

Bathed in blood, Hitler's blood.

Flowers to be fed go to bed.

Sun sets, crawling up the steps.

Climb so high to reach the sky.

Drought’s over, flood’s here.

Dysfunction seeps,

going down, down, down, down.

Body steeps,

coming up not face up.
