I've turned the radio on today

About twenty times

At fifteen minute intervals

For thirty seconds each

'Cause I don't want to hear the music

Or the chatter of disc jockeys

Bored in their studios

Trying to laugh at their own cliché jokes

But I keep on playing

My game of radio roulette

Every fifteen minutes

Because I know, I know

One of these times

They'll be playing our song

And I'll hear all four minutes

And forty-one seconds

And when it's all done

I'll turn off the radio

And I'll cry because

There are some games that nobody wins
