It's not just the physical
That holds me back
(Although that worries me.)
What scares me most
Is that everything will be different
In the morning.
A new realm to explore
Exciting, yes.
But dangerous too-
And what if you don't need my voice anymore
Nothing to work towards,
Build up to,
Talk about, expect,
Something to make what we do now
Seem like a lesser act…
And something else
To stop us talking.
