Asphyxiation

Asphyxiation, I’m choking in your essence,

I want to breathe fresh air and forget

every single memory of you.

Please, just don’t linger in my thoughts,

my head hurts every time I see your face.

Keep out of my dreams because

I know they will never grow substance.

Leave me entirely, for I don’t want

cheap imitations, your phantom, your shadow.

You were meant to forget me and I, you.

I was supposed to hate you for all the time wasted

and

for all that you’ve done.
