The Days of Coloring Horses Blue
The days lost past
The days that are gone
The days I once knew
Of coloring horses blue.
The life that was fun
The life that I loved
The life filled with many a friend
Shouldn't have come to it's abrupt end.
The doors opened
The doors closed
The doors creak
As time passes, week after week
The school year went on
The school year's end, I dreaded
The school's end would come
I counted the days, one by one.
The family moved on
The family was happy
The family cared not
But I was distraught
I missed my friends
I missed my room
I missed my school
Even though it wasn't that cool.
I struggled through high school
I made it through college
I still missed my friends
And school years which had no ends.
I've lived through life to tell my tale
I've finally met up with my friends
I've loathed every moment of it
But hardly without a fit.
My friends are all grown
My friends still remember
My friends don't much like me
Now that we're thirty.
The life I loved
The life I miss
The days long gone
Oh, so far gone.
The days long past
The days that are gone
The days I once knew
Of coloring horses blue.
