One of my best friends wrote this when she realized how important is was to her that her friends still loved her after all that had happened. (all reviews will be forwarded to her)

To the actual author of this poem: I hope you know that we'll always be there for you no matter what.

A friend I turned my back on
A trust I betrayed many times
Someone who prayed for me
As I threw back her advice
She saw me sinking
But I pushed her aside
And she loves me anyway

A boy who reached for me
As I looked away
Caring words I’d never known
That I never let him say
A way to a pure love
When with darkness I chose to stay
All the corruption in me
And he loves me anyway

A father I had long denied
Who bled that I might be forgiven
Who offered me his holiness
As he watched me cling to sin
Who reached to dry my tears
Who’s face I slapped from within
And he loves me anyway

Shelters that I ran from
And they love me anyway

Friends that I let down
And they love me anyway

Hearts that broke with mine
And they love me anyway

I abandoned them
But they never left me

And when my eyes were opened
And I came crawling back
I’m welcomed with open arms
And freed me from my own trap

All the mistakes I’ve made
