Kitten Child

The kitten who swam in the sea

And sailed for all eternity

On a journey of who she would be

She perfected her side stroke

And her seamen skills

The prepared herself for an ocean of ills

Into the stars and the night’s day

Setting sail for the milky way

And diving deep down for pearls grey

Bobbing on the strongest waves

And visiting the brightest caves

And marking unmarked graves

She won’t stay a kitten long

When she hears the very last song

And becomes who she was all along.
