When in such a hindered place
One is glad for a comfortable seat;
Even more so a pleasant companion
With which to share the space.
He drives concentrated...
His actions smooth.
Hawkful-watching,
Posture relaxed;
Sunglasses now over his eyes,
Now perched on his forehead.
Most always a T-shirt.
Most always in jeans.
Always the perceptive stance...
Never nervous.
When he talks, the words spawn interest.
I speak back humor to call out his hidden grin;
He has the wonderful laugh.
Even the silence is understood,
For, anger never rides with us.
I do not fear the road, if he drives.
Tedium is conquered by learning
And the flash of his smile.
