Ace of hearts

Nyteness

“The cards will never say false things to you,”

So she thought, and prayed hard as she knew.

On the reader’s hand lay an ace of hearts

And she smiled at the thought of the new start.

And from his smile, she thought he knew it too.

They promised forever but as months flew-

More rather crawled – She felt some problems brew.

That unknown other woman made them part.

The cards never lie

Later she cried and realized a new truth:

She was eating enough odd food for two.

Although the memory of him still smarts,

She has a new, cute boy inside her heart.

And someday, she’ll find a daddy for Lou.

The cards never lie

Ace of hearts: Beginning of a new love. It could be romance or a new child.
