Where the city streets go,
And the lovely lights flow,
I’d rather sit quietly;
Watching first and tainting last
Your missing self awareness.

I’d only do more harm than good
If we had a nooner with words.
Wouldn’t be hard to have me
Promise the universe---

(And I know I would.)

So I reach with the stars and
I stretch with the dreams,
Flying and living on nothing but whims.

Mayhaps when I cast
That lovely thin line
With a thought at the end
Dedicated to you,
I’ll have courage enough
To pull you to me…

But love you only so much.
Waiting (not moving) for your simple touch.
