These women are taking p h o t o g r a p h s
of how pretty they look
for their Myspaces
their laugher
like bells
But they don't
see the bum who's
filling up dirty bottles
with water
from the drinking fountain
t w e a k i n' and shoving the bottles into
his pants

That’s the photograph I want to take:

these two girls without problems, laughin’ it up in

twinkling heels and short skirts oblivious to the man who stands behind them

still strung out from his last hit

thirsty for the ocean, the river, the stream
Their laughter like knives
And one of 'em

gets to me
I know she's never thought
about philosophy.
She's so sure that she's righteous.
She's so sure she's a woman.
