Sharon sat there gaping at Faolan who just sat there. “Did you just talk?” Sharon asked looking the wolf in the eyes. “Yes,” he replied simply. “But, could you always talk or can you just talk now? Why did we always go into the white world if you could talk to me already?” Sharon asked. She was slightly confused, wondering if Faolan could always talk. “Well, in truth, it’s both. I could always talk but only now am I able to talk to you directly. You see, you had to reach a certain point when you had a certain amount of power in you before you were able to speak to me. But it isn’t just me that you can talk to; you can talk to all animals now,” Faolan explained, walking up and sitting next to Sharon, “And because you have reached the point where you are able to talk to me than I am almost certain that you are now able to face Judice. Note that I said almost certain; I am not positive.”

This time Faolan said he would accompany Sharon when she fought Judice and as they walked Sharon was comforted by Faolan’s presence. They walked in silence, Sharon too mortified to speak, thinking about all the things that could go wrong. It wasn’t that Sharon was scared of death; it was the thought of Judice having a whole world with no one to challenge her. They didn’t transport to Judice, just walked. Faolan lead the way; Sharon wasn’t sure how he knew where he was going but followed behind. Finally she couldn’t stand it, “Faolan, how do you know where to go?” Faolan paused and replied, “Scent” and then kept on walking. “But how?” Sharon pressed. “I can smell the evil magic that she uses and I am following it, you can smell it too if you think about it.” Sharon closed her eyes and focused on trying to pick up a scent and she was shocked when she was able to smell blood; she guessed that was the evil magic smell.

When Sharon opened her eyes she was shocked to see herself standing in a skeleton of a forest. She looked and saw the statue in the middle and she knew where she was. Judice was leaning against it stroking Midnight’s head; she looked up when she heard Sharon and Faolan approaching. “I wasn’t expecting you for some months; I guess you want to get your death over with,” she said when they were in earshot. “What did you do with Tyler’s body?” Sharon asked; her hatred for the woman flaring up. “I burned it,” Judice said with a shrug; as though it was no big deal. She pushed herself off of the statue and walked forward a little bit; looking straight at Sharon.

The final battle had begun.

Sharon stood watching with Judice staring right back. Finally Judice sent black energy at Sharon. The energy began to take on a shape; within a few seconds the black energy had turned into a black dragon. The black dragon roared and launched itself at Sharon. Thinking fast Sharon duplicated the energy and a white dragon burst out of her hands. The white dragon attacked the black dragon and the two flew higher into the sky shooting flames at each other. The black dragon pointed its head down at one point and the black gas billowed out of its mouth. In a matter of seconds the entire forest and ground was blocked out by the gas. Sharon looked up through the gas to see the black dragon bite the white one on the neck; quickly looking down Sharon dodged the blast of fire that Judice sent at her. Panicking Sharon could only dodge the attacks coming at her. She heard Faolan’s voice calling to her and she looked around to see him inside the black gas. “Use my energy,” he said as he ran up to her. “No,” Sharon said immediately, “If I do I may take too much and I am not going to take that risk.” But Faolan growled and said, “You have no choice; if you fail Judice’s rein of evil will spread forever.”

Sharon didn’t want to but she reached out with her mind and when she touched Faolan’s she began to draw energy from him. He whined in pain as his energy dwindled causing Sharon to falter. But Sharon stayed connected and closed her hands in front of her. Her hands began to glow a blinding white light. Squinting through the light Sharon saw Judice form the same stance as her and dark light appears in between her hands. At the same time Sharon and Judice released their magic at each other. The two beams of light meet in the center causing a huge explosion to take place; the explosion sending both Judice and Sharon flying backwards. As Sharon flew backwards she saw the statue falling and shattering; dark smoke rising from the remains. As Sharon smashed into a tree she could hear Judice screaming in pain and then her world became dark forever.

Over head the two dragons froze in mid-fight and slowly began to fade away. The dark gas vanished as well, revealing the result of the battle. On one side lay Judice; hair splayed out and eyes closed. A few feet away from her was Midnight; without the dark magic to sustain him he couldn’t stay alive. At the other side of the clearing lay Sharon; hair splayed out and eyes closed. Only one figure could be seen moving. Faolan hadn’t died immediately when Sharon had drawn energy from him but unfortunately he didn’t have enough to last him much longer. He slowly crawled over to Sharon’s lifeless body; using up the last of his energy to lick her face once and then died on her chest.
