I fell asleep with the bracelet on like Amber had asked, and as soon as I fell asleep I found myself dreaming about a small town, with big things. There was a huge skate park, a stadium, a school, houses, a mall, and other stores. It was an amazing town, and even though it was a dream, I felt as though this was the best place ever, even though I had only see nit so far. Then in a haze of glitter Amber was beside me looking down at the town bellow us.

Then Sarah popped up, and then Ben. “Wow this is weird, I’ve never had you guys pop up in my dream before, at least, not this life like.” I said. “Your dream? Right, hate to break it to you but this is my dream.” Ben said. “I thought it was my dream. Wow this is strange.” Sarah said “Who cares who’s dream it is. Let’s just have fun while it lasts.” Amber said.

We all headed down to the skate park and I taught Sarah how to skate. I had never had this great of a dream, being this close to Sarah was great. Every time she fell I caught her, and pulled her up, and we looked into each others eyes. Ben convinced Amber to sing into the Mic, which was set up to speakers all around the park. So they turned on the karaoke CD, and she began to sing, and both me and Sarah stopped for a second and listened to her beautiful voice, which I barely ever heard in real life.

Then I continued to teach Sarah while Amber sang, and Ben smiled at her and they talked during her breaks from singing. It was great being able to hang with them, even if it was only a dream. I almost let slip that I liked Sarah, but even in a dream that felt weird.

After a while we all sat around talking and laughing. We found food in the skate board shop, so we had some chips and soda. Then there was a load beeping noise, and I sprang awake. I sighed, falling back onto my pillow. “Great. Another day without my friends.” I said, and then jumped out of bed to get ready for school.

When I got to school Ben, Amber, and Sarah were already there. “Hey guys, you’re never going to believe the dream I had last night. It was crazy.” I said. “Were we in some strange town, and there was a skate park, and you were teaching me to skateboard?” Sarah asked. “How did you know?” I asked, shocked. “Because we all had the same dream.” Ben said. Then Amber seamed to realize something and her face turned bright red.

“You guys heard me singing!!” She said. “Ya, you were great. You should sing like that more often.” Sarah said. Amber hit her playfully. I laughed. “How did it happen though?” I asked. “I don’t know, but I think we need to test it out again tonight.” Ben said. We all nodded in agreement, then the bell rang, and we waved good bye as we split up.

(Third Person)

During lunch Nick walked around the back of the school, heading for the cafeteria from my class. He saw Ben, and motioned over to him. Ben walked over and they both stood there waiting as the students flooded either to there next class, or to lunch. Soon there was only one or two in site. Then they saw Amber round the corner, her head down, looking at her phone. They looked at each other devilishly.

They both moved quietly, sneaking up behind her. Nick grabbed her one arm, and Ben grabbed the other, and covered her mouth with his hand to keep her from screaming out. Her head shot up, shock etched all over her face. When she saw who it was she sighed, and both boys let her go. “Sorry bout that Amber, you were so out of it, had to take our chance when we could.” Nick said, knowing she had probably thought they were Parker.

She laughed and smiled at them, and they both knew she wasn’t mad. “So how has your day been?” Amber asked them. “Ok.” They both said together. “We going to hang out today? Sneak over to the greenhouse?” Ben asked. They both nodded and Amber texted Sarah to tell her.

Sarah got there before them, and she hugged Amber. They whispered for a second, and both boys looked at them wonderingly, but when they turned around to the boys they smiled at them, and motioned for them to follow them behind the greenhouses were they met during lunch once of twice a week.

Amber and Sarah sat down on the ground, leaning against the greenhouse walls. The boys sat on the rocks in front of them. “So, what’s the plan for tonight?” Ben asked. “I figure that all of us should just go to sleep like we did yesterday, with the bracelets on, and see what happens.” Amber said. “Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.” Sarah said.

They discussed the dream in wonderment for five more minutes, and then they heard a sound, like guys laughing. Then they heard it better. It was Parker. “Dude, where did you get it?” He was saying to someone. Amber and Sarah stood and grabbed there stuff. They looked at Ben and Nick, then ran around the end of the greenhouse, and had just turned the corner when Parker came around the opposite one.

“Hey what are you guys doing here?” Parker asked suspiciously. “Oh, just hanging out away from the crowds of school.” Ben said smoothly. Sarah and Amber stood leaned against the greenhouse wall, close enough that they could hear what was being said.

“Oh, well do you want some? Stephan got it from his older brother.” Parker said.

“No thanks were going to go. We were getting ready to leave anyway.” Ben said.

“Ok, but I was wondering. You weren’t hanging out with Amber and Sarah yesterday were you. Because I saw them at the mall right after I saw you. Because I mean, both of you know that they are nothing like us, especially not Amber. I mean at least Sarah is hot, but Amber is well…a freak.” Parker said harshly. “Nope, we weren’t. What a coincidence huh? Maybe you were mistaken.” Nick said, looking over at Ben to make sure he wasn’t showing something that reveal everything. Ben stood, his face red, but it wasn’t obvious that he was angry.

Ben and Nick left, walking along the side they had seen the girls disappear down. They walked to the front of the green house and saw both girls sitting on the ground. “Come one guys well walk you to class.” Ben said, helping Amber up. “But what if someone sees us?” Sarah asked. “What could it hurt for them to see us just once?” Nick said.

“You guys can walk Amber to class, but I don’t want any of my supposed friends to see you. You know they have threatened to beat you guys up. “So what. We don’t care.” Nick said. But Sarah was already walking of toward her class. “Well it looks like were walking you to class then Amber.” They turned to walk with her, but she had already taken of, and was already ten feet ahead of them. “Well it looks like we have been ditched.” Nick said. “Ya, but we know its only because they have to, not because they want to.” Ben said. They both walked in the direction Amber had went, heading towards there class.

(Nick Point of view)

After school we all stood around Kira’s car, waiting for her to show up and take Amber home before we left. Amber was being oddly quiet, and I was worried something might of happened, but it was soon forgotten when she smiled broadly and said “So, tonight we see if it was all real.” We all perked up, thinking about tonight, and excited to know if that had been a one time thing for us, or if it really was the bracelets.

Soon Amber was pulling out of the School in Kira’s car, and Sarah, Ben, and I were taking our usual route home, going on the back roads so nobody would see us. “Did you guys notice Amber was quieter than usual?” Sarah asked. Ben and I nodded. “Do you think she heard what Parker said?” I asked Ben. “All we heard was that he was suspicious about us hanging out. Did he say more?” Sarah said. “Ya, he said something about Amber, but you don’t want to know.” I said. She frowned at me, but said nothing more about it.

Ben was the first one to reach his house. We waved good bye to him and then continued on our way. The next stop was her house, and it was a ten minute walk.
“Sarah, do you ever wish that we could just tell everyone were friends, and there is nothing they can do about it?” I asked her. “All the time. But what can we do about it? If we ever did that you know what would happen. Our parents would get in the way, and you guys might get beat up.” Sarah said.

“But what if we don’t care! Shouldn’t our parents be happy for us if we have friends who care about us so much! Shouldn’t our friends just accept it! And besides that Ben and I can defend ourselves!” I said, stopping to look at her. She looked into my eyes, obviously torn between her side and my side. She knew I was right, but she also wasn’t sure she could stand fighting everyone in order for us to be friends.

“I wish this wasn’t so hard.” Sarah whispered, looking at the ground. I pulled her into a hug. “It will all work out in the end. Don’t worry. For now just remember that tonight we are testing the bracelets.” I said, and then I let her go and she ran into her house, waving goodbye before the door closed.

I walked the rest of the way home, and started on my homework. Mom had dinner done by 5:30, so we all ate dinner together, and then I went to my room and went on my computer. Soon the others were online too, and we all talked on IM. Around 8:30 we all agreed it was time to go to bed and try it out. So we signed of, and I jumped onto my bed, pulling the covers over me.

Soon enough I was drifting off to sleep.
