i.

she’s fighting a battle with
invisible scars, attached somewhere
between that bleeding(beating) heart
and those gruesome splintered bones,
she’s screaming,
gasping for life through air holes
left conveniently in her defenses
their too small, too small, she’ll suffocate.

ii.

twisting and turning in poisoned agony,
its burning(boiling red hot) beneath
her perfect shell, she dosent understand,
she never will, and she calls out to us as
time, all elusive ebbs away.
tick.
tick.
tick.

iii.

doctor, oh doctor, we were wrong,
she wasn’t quite as okay as we thought
her heart sputtered once, (screaming
our names in silent soliloquy) a prequel
to a symphony of nothingness.
her invisible lesions have won.

iiii.

Insanity grasps us all, but
guilt, she adorns the murderous smile.
