There has always been
one particular certainty
in my life:
that my parents would get divorced.
It's just
one of those things
that, as a kid,
you just know
instinctively.

My mother is probably
spending my dad's money
on some other guy
as I write this.

My dad suspects her, I think;
at least, I hope he does.
And regardless,
I have to tell him
everything.

Ultimately, though,
it doesn't affect me,
because I'll
be gone
in a year and a half
anyway.
