Plot:

A city girl from Los Angeles is dismayed with the fact that her family is moving to a rural town somewhere in Maine. Fortunately, she fits in at her new high school with 800 kids and for some reason, everybody in school knows her. Despite the friendly welcomes, Claire Buchanon finds something quite strange with her new town. For one thing, her new friend, Cynthia Gale, is as geeky as geeks can be and Cyn’s best friend is the drop dead handsome star of the football/track/and basketball team, Hayden Stone. Apparently, no one in Maine was informed about cliques. Well, that’s a lie, there are two cliques. The “were’s” (pronounced “wear”) and the “vee’s”. Even stranger are the warnings Hayden and Cyn often tell Claire, “Don’t drink the water!”
