Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
It’s me, can I come in?
“I don’t know You. Go away”
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
I’m a friend, can I come in?
“I don’t believe You. Don’t lie.”
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
I’m your Father, can I come in?
“My father never has time for me. You can’t be him.”
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
It’s someone who loves you, can I come in?
“Liar. Nobody loves me. Stay away.”
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
I’m the one who will be there for you, can I come in?
“I’m always alone so leave me be.”
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
I’m the one that died for You, can I come in?
“Nobody would die for me. I’m not worth it.”
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
I’m the one that made you special, can I come in?
“I will never be special. Don’t bring my hopes up.
Knock, knock
“Who’s there?”
I’m Jesus, can I come in?
“ . . . “
What will your answer be?
How many times have we closed the door at Him?
How many times have we not let Jesus enter our heart?
How many times have we turned down His offer to soothe our pain?
How many times have we said “no”?
Yet He kept on asking, “can I come in?”
Knocking on our door patiently
Waiting for the door to open
Never gives up on us
Even now he’s asking,
“Can I come in?”
She was a missionary from Ambon and she talked about how God is knocking on our hearts.
We were touched by her testimony.
And this is the story I made from her testimony.
