so differently similar,

this numb pain hurts the most.

I will never judge you,

but I have always known

that in your voice I’m hearing

the echoes of my own.

and you are so much of what I used to be

that when I look at you, I’m really seeing me...

the same heart that lived through this whole warped ordeal

will break in two

it all seems far too real

far too close for comfort when you’re sitting at my side

to think you’re where I used to be
