Fly Home, My Dear

You have traversed over the fiery bridge into hell,

Many a time,

But have emerged with renewed strength,

And hardly even a singed wing.

It is true that you have fallen a few times,

But you always get back up and soar.

Never have I seen an icy tear in your eye,

Or anything but forgiveness in your heart.

You chose to give all a chance,

Which would in the end led to your demise.

But you didn’t care.

You always found blame in yourself,

Just so others would not be at fault.

Of a pure heart you have been made,

And on wings you shall fly.

You have soared to your home among the clouds,

To sit beside your father.

Forever to sing of praises and eternal happiness,

Amid the angels.

My dear you have been set free from this horrid world,

And given wings to fly to paradise.

May your days be filled with happiness,

As your voice rings throughout heaven’s clouds.

You have survived the darkness,

And found the light.

For although you could not fight the strength of the world,

You were able to fight the strength of your heart.

So fly home my dear,

On heavenly wings into the setting sun.

Our paths shall meet again someday,

I pray you will not forget me,

Because I will never forget you.

So, fly home my dear,

For you are free…
