S.i.l.e.n.c.e

S.i.l.e.n.c.e

Let it reign over me.

Shroud my thoughts with mist,

Unlock my heart,

Open my eyes…

S.i.l.e.n.c.e

So often taken for granite,

So often is so lonely.

A time for my heart to heal,

For my thoughts to breath.

A time for my God,

A time for my inner reflections.

My solitude,

My relief,

My escape…

S.i.l.e.n.c.e

The sun is painting a picture of us in the hues of the earth,

The stars are writing our names upon the midnight sky.

S.i.l.e.n.c.e

A time to dream,

A tie to hope…

Silence is so many things to many people.

Silence is my muse,

My strength.

Silence keeps me from going insane,

It releases my soul.

My silence is only ever broken by the scratch of a pen upon paper,

Or a single iced teardrop shattering upon a pillow.

Silence is my time to learn,

My time to escape.

S.i.l.e.n.c.e is what I want,

And S.i.l.e.n.c.e,

Has become who I am…

S.i.l.e.n.c.e
