Amber Eyes

There’s fire in her eyes.

Burning amber,

And streaks of piercing emerald.

She’s had enough…

There’s fire in her eyes,

That’s so powerful,

It strikes fear into their hearts.

Now they’re going to pay…

She stands stronger now,

Wiser,

Older,

Tougher…

Their words can’t hurt her anymore…

There’s fire in her eyes,

They realize how much they hurt her.

But it’s no good now,

It’s too late…

Her six foot four,

Battle hardened soul,

Won’t take crap from them anymore.

She’s seen too much,

Been hurt too much.

Now it’s their turn to feel her pain…

As those piercing eyes stare at him,

He realizes her pain.

And that it’s too late…

That’s when she pulled the gun…

She didn’t care if she went to prison,

She’d been there before…

Life to her would mean nothing,

Partly because this life to her,

Was nothing.

One by one they fell to that strong hand,

And those ever piercing eyes…

They never should have crossed her,

She knew one day she’d make them sorry.

And now she finally had…

Each name is said as she pulls the trigger.

She makes sure that the last thing they see is her,

Staring down at them,

Boring in to their soul,

Telling them,

That she doesn’t regret what she has done…

They might as well have killed her,

Instead of teasing her,

That way they wouldn’t have died,

But oops,

Too late.

One falls right after another,

But there’s nothing they can do,

No one can stop her.

At the end of the day 23 were killed,

And she was sentenced to life with no escape.

She did not fight it,

Did not resist arrest,

She didn’t even utter a word.

All that she did was take a long look at each one of the guards with her amber eyes,

Making them all flinch in fear.

Some said they saw a brief smirk come across her face,

Others thought she actually laughed.

As she was led down that long walk to her lonely cell,

She gazed at each of the prisoners,

As they hid in the back of their cells,

Their gazes following the well-known killer.

It was then that she smiled.

Which sent shivers to their cores.

She was actually happy with herself.

23 lives had to pass before she was truly happy.

Her purpose in life was to get revenge,

And now that she had,

She had no reason to go on.

So she took her bed sheets and made a noose,

You can figure out the rest.

But as the guards came by to clear her out,

Her eyes were staring down at them,

So they put a bag over her face to hide those creepy amber eyes.

As they were dragging her out they found a note…

My amber eyes were the last things they saw,

And for that I am pleased…

I always looked down when they mocked me,

But I am not afraid anymore,

My eyes are the proof…
