There are some days when those names sound so right together, falling into place like it was meant to be.

There are some days when those names aren’t even used in the same conversation, and nobody dares to speak them aloud for fear of some sudden retribution.

Nobody knows why they seem so intertwined, but they are; never too far apart, the conversation of this beachy little town just as everyone else is at one point or another. Just a notch on the verbal bedpost of Shoreline City.

It’s odd, really, how everyone uses their names in conjunction so often. They don’t hang out, aren’t close friends, don’t share the same stretch of sand.

But they do, they are, they will be and somehow, some way, everyone knows something is bound to happen.

Something will happen.
