My lifeline

My heart in my veins

Music pounds

It continues

City of poetry

The beat stops

A resonant rift,

And what is next?

You ask of me too much.

You should be so lucky

He happily told him

You have it better than others

But I can’t help it

He said quietly back.

Who can’t help but want more

When they don’t have everything?

He’s angry at me

It’s not that I don’t want to

But if I let go of everything

I’ve always wanted

I won’t have anything

If he goes too.
