Fantasies resting their head on my lap

Untouched skin their pillow of choice.

They left you to suck your poison from the air

And kiss the death around you.

And it cleans the air surrounding me

To know that you have lost them.

For innocence is bliss.

But you never cared for that.

Almost everything that's wrong is sometimes right,

And you never cared to wait with me.

Fingers on the thorns of roses

For you refuse to touch the stem.

Instead you rip the petals off,

And you tear each one to shreds

As I gather them and try to put them right.

Just to prove to you I can, I reach

And tear the skirt of my white dress right in half.

The unicorns still lay with me

When I let loose at times

For they know my pure heart cannot be tainted now.
