She intoxicates and complicates

Playing with his heart

The tenderness mixed with bitterness

Doesn’t make for a work of art

But he still loves her, why can’t she see?

Because she knows who she wants to be

Freedom calls her, she’s going numb

Ready or not, here she comes

Farewell, he cries, farewell

I hope I never see you again

And live to tell the tale

Farewell, my love, farewell

I guess this is our last goodbye

I guess this is the end of you and I

He listens to her leaving

Hears the sound of the slamming door

This whole time she was deceiving

Then left him bleeding on the floor

His eyes are dry but he cannot see

He states ahead

Wishes he was dead

Farewell, he cries, farewell

I hope I never see you again

And live to tell the tale

Farewell, my love, farewell

I guess this is our last goodbye

I guess this is the end of you and I

He can’t imagine life without her

She floats through life without him

He still believes he could have stopped the girl

She’s already found her next man

Her next man

Farewell, he cries, farewell

I hope I never see you again

And live to tell the tale

Farewell, my love, farewell

I guess this is our last goodbye

I guess this is the end of you and I
