November Slump

too little sleep
when the hours are dark,

too much to do
when the hours are light,

if I find time to sleep
its because I’ve missed class.

too many papers
still left to write,

too many tests
still left to take,

reading piles up
as I fall behind again.

this semester
needs to end,

this break
needs to stretch,

but six days from now
I’ll be full circle.

just as tired.
just as depressed.

just as frustrated.
just as much to do.

just as insane.
just as everything,

everything
I hate.
