Rose Rickman glared at Riley Thomas, who in her opinion was the most idiotic, ego-tistical thing with two legs that could walk, alive. He thinks he’s gods gift to women for gods sake! she thought scathingly. She was sitting across from him in a circle. A stupid, ruddy circle for a certain stupid, ruddy game.

The only reason she was here was her best friend Vanessa Rogers had dragged her here. And now she was stuck, sitting in this stupid circle, getting ready to play truth or dare! Ooh when I get my hands on Nessie she’s goin’ down! Rose thought furrowing her brows together, and narrowing her eyes.

Taking a second to glare at her best friend, she spotted that wicked smile of Vanessa’s on her face. Briefly, fear and anger flashed in Rose’s eyes as she flipped her red hair over her shoulder, now glaring at both Riley and Vanessa at odd intervals, although glaring at Vanessa seemed more prominent.

Having spotted the flash of fear, Vanessa’s grin widened.

“Ok, so everyone ready to play Truth or Dare?” Jessica, one of the girls’ friends from school and their current hostess, jumped up and asked.

Everyone cheered as Vanessa jumped up, saying she would go first. Vanessa turned towards Rose, an evil glint in her eye.

Suddenly, fearing for her life, Rose debated to run or see what was in store for her. She decided to wait and see.

“Ro-sie?” Vanessa asked in a sing-song voice. Rose smiled a very fake smile through gritted teeth. “Truth or Dare?”

Rose’s POV

I don’t know what happened! It just popped out of my mouth! There was no possible way to take it back. I tried to, I assure you! You can probably guess what I answered by now, but for those poor, clueless souls, I said…dare.

Now if you knew Vanessa, you would know to NEVER answer dare. Unfortunately I am too stupid to comprehend that.

And I was right to think to not to ever say dare to Vanessa during these types of games.

You won’t believe what the little cow dared me! She dared me to kiss the pig-headed jerk, Riley Thomas! I for one, was all set to adamantly refuse but, I surprised even myself when I just got up, going quietly. My body was apparently running on auto pilot then.

I reached Riley and I just grabbed the collar of his red dress shirt, (wow I even noticed that teensy detail?) and smashed my lips onto his unceremoniously. I never even noticed my red hair spilling onto his shoulder as he pulled me closer. I felt a jolt come through from his lips to mine so, I tried to break the kiss of quickly, barely giving him time to respond. Unfortunately, for me, he was quick and pulled me back, the kiss continuing on for a couple more seconds. He broke it and flashed me a grin. And that was AFTER he assaulted me with his tongue!

Urgh! Annoying jerk! Defiantly ignoring the funny feeling growing in my stomach, I went back to my place in the circle in a definite daze.

“I hope you’re happy” licking my lips slightly, I hissed in a stage-whisper to my supposed ‘BF’, ignoring the nagging voice in my head telling me I enjoyed it.

“Oh yes” she replies to me. “Very” she concluded with a wink.

The nerve! From there I just didn’t say anything, trying to recover from that short experience. I didn’t want to relive what I now will call, The-Riley-Experience.

Although yes, how much one kiss with your most hated impacted you, it really was amazing…

Normal POV

The rest of the party continued normally, most of the people picking dare, feeling adventurous, probably because of consumption of large amounts of alcohol.

When the game finally finished, Riley and Rose avoided each other for the rest of the night, though both were still in a slight daze. Neither could ignore the spark they'd both felt.

Vanessa grinned at her work. This worked out just as I planned, she so likes him and HAS to realise it! She mentally squealed. Finally they’ll see what us lot have been seeing for years!

Rolling her eyes to the heavens above, Vanessa set herself to enjoy herself for the rest of the night, smiling when she saw Rose and Riley sneaking glances at each other when they thought no one was looking.
