Wrap your hands around this pen; I'll show you what it is to live.

He flipped the pen in circles across his fingers, gently shaking his head to get the brown locks out of his face. Liquid chestnut orbs focused upon a single figure, lonely in the corner of the front row. Her hair was messily put up, glasses slightly askew upon her face and her posture rigid. She was studying for an upcoming test, and from the looks of it, had been all night as well.
A small smirk flitted across his features, catching his friends' attention. "Dude, Chris... You're staring at a nerd"
Tsking lightly, the smirk widened. "She's... Interesting"
Another friend popped up, looking over his shoulder. "Sure, if you have poor taste" A chuckle came from both friends as they pounded their fists together lightly and Chris rolled his eyes.

Her pencil scribbled across the page, hurriedly copying the lines in which she was supposed to memorize. A curse was muttered under her breath which she knew she'd reprimand herself over later, but now was the time to focus. Turning, she dug through her bag, extracting a sharpener and quickly ridding herself of her dilemna.
Feeling eyes on her back, she turned her head. Their eyes connected for a moment before she quickly adverted them, overwhelmed.

"Hey..." Chris started slowly, the smirk never leaving his face. "Can you guys do me a favor?"
The first friend perked up, "It's not about the girl, is it?"
"Ooooh" the second said, wiggling his eyebrows, "I bet it is"
"Yeah... take that sharpener from her"
They stared at him blankly as Chris continually flipped that pen.
"He's lost his marbles, hasn't he?"
"Surely, there's no other explanation"
"Oh, but of course there is! He was abducted by aliens, his brain sucked out and replaced by some robot!" He announced dramatically, pointing an accusing finger towards Chris. In reply, Chris snorted. "Nah," the second started, "That's definently Chris, no robot could be that detached and arrogant"
"Are ya gonna do it?"
"Sure"

Lunch: a supposedly peaceful and relaxing break in which one can eat. Yet, for her it was just another session of time that she could cram more information into her mind. In school, tests were always coming and going, popping up out of nowhere, and she had to be prepared for them all if she wanted to pass. Therefore, she studied every chance she had.
Another curse stumbled out from between her lips as the dubbed 'evil' pencil's lead broke once again, leaving a distracting gray streak in its wake. In the same cycle as before, she grabbed her bookbag and ruffled through it, attempting to find the pencil sharpener, but coming out only empty handed. "Where is it? Where is it... come on, it has to be here somewhere!"
"Ahem," a voice interjected, catching her attention. Looking up, she saw an attractive boy, around her age and seemingly familiar. "You're Kylie, right?"
Her voice caught in her throat when a cute smile formed on his face, directed towards her. "Ahhhh... y-yes" she murmured, practically choking on the words as a light pink blush slowly spread across her cheeks. His smile, in her eyes, only became cuter. "Well then, hello. I'm Chris."
"Yes, hello" she said, nodding and smiling, finally recovering some grace (despite the fact that it was never truly her thing).
"Your pencil's broken," he observed, the smile still dancing upon his lips now becoming warmer, somewhat loving. Slowly, he extracted something from his pants pocket, and held it out to her. In front of her eyes was a silver pen, the metallic paint shimmering beautifully in the midday sun. Somehow, it enchanted her.
Her hand reached up, finger brushing against the pen. A glimmer lit up his chestnut orbs, mirroring the pen and an enchanting smirk layed where the warm smile once was. "Wrap your hands around this pen..." his voice was low and sultry, making her obey his words without a doubt.
"I'll show you what it is to live"

Meanwhile, the two friends sat there together, staring at the light green sharpener within the first's hand. "So... what are we supposed to do with it?"
"Ehhh," the other muttered, "let's burn it"
