My Savior

You were there for me today
When I was scared, and down
And felt like I was dying.
You held me
While I shook and cried.
You didn’t back away,
You stayed there for me.
You helped me up,
You held me close.
I laid my head down
On your shoulder.
I’m sure I scared you,
I scared myself,
I felt like I was
Going to die.
You held me,
You made me laugh when
I thought I couldn’t.
You helped me get up
When I thought
I physically could not move,
Something bad would
Happen if I did.
You told me everything
Was going to be okay,
When I thought it wasn’t.
You told me you would never let go
Even though I thought you would.
