Black eyed birds are flying around
Feathers are flying,
They seem so happy

There in the trees,
Making so much sound,

All the while in the crowded world
I hear a tune from a flute far away

A girl with silver hair calls to me
She says lets fly away...

Here in the now
In this bustling town
There are so many miseries
Such wondrous histories

Maybe, tomorrow it could be different, or no
I don't know...sure hope it would

Black eyed birds are swimming in the ocean
So blue and mixed with their feathers all around

Her hair swiftly moves to the beat
Of a thousand pigeons who knew

That life is a pearl beneath the nest
Far out from the knowledge of the rest

So these black eyed birds never cry
Only a few ever give hefty sighs
And I know I could if I really tried
Someday I hope I can fly

Fly with the birds who seem to know it all
They've been around and know it all
From around the world,
To them its so small

Why can't I be like the birds?

Distant off the shores are the birds
