winter air

lightly
bitter winter air-

pinprick to needlepoint
frost
&the smell of cinnamon
becomes faint,
like footprints left
on the glistening cement

(enjoy,
moments in
s u r r e a l)

“darling, darling”
with one eye closed
& the other veiled
you are wandering
the edge of
reason/emotion/

illusion

warmth,
turmoiling warmth
wandering...

awaiting the caress
of satin powdered skin
& pale dry lips

a gentle touch
of sweet (yet bitter)
winter air

-over the edge
