It’s gold-dust this time
That settles upon my second home-
Upon the wrinkled branches
And lazy leaves floating in the air.
Dissolving the windows
And multiplying the worth of my
Ancient antiques,
Metallic veins pulse within this place.
In this celestial light,
A component in a circuit
That can never be broken.
Greet my eyes
As I see faint spirits coming into focus
And hear new muted sounds
Echoing amid the calling plants.
Spun like a fly in a spider’s web,
Skipping, innocent and intellectually free-
Moving to the beat of the heart
Of my home
And swaying in time to the song of the birds.
Nobody can save me once I’m caught
With the sun…
Never take me away from where I’ve become
Me.
